| What you get from joining
the American Sewing Guild Membership in ASG is $40.00 a year.
And when you join ASG you become not only a member the Olympia Chapter but a
member of your local Neighborhood Group; you become a member of all other
groups in the Olympia Chapter, other Chapters in the state and in the entire
country. You can go to ASG NG meetings in any other city and feel just
as at home as you do with your local group.
When you join ASG you become a member of
a local Neighborhood Group (NG). The
Olympia
Chapter currently has NGs from Auburn to Chehalis, Graham to Steilacoom
with more planned in other communities. As a member of ASG you are not limited to your "home"
NG. You may attend any Neighborhood Group meeting you wish - locally
and in other states, too!
These small, informal meetings provide members with:

A chance to "show and tell" their
finished or unfinished work

The opportunity to get guidance,
instruction, or just encouragement on projects that have stalled

Classes in new techniques or small projects with hands-on sewing at the
meeting

Announcements of upcoming events, trends, new notions, etc.

Most importantly, the opportunity to
get connected with other people who love sewing and related arts and
crafts
When you join ASG through a Neighborhood Group you
will be able to be with other sewing enthusiasts in your area, you'll get
discounts from national and local retailers, receive "Notions" the
American Sewing Guild National Publication and our Olympia Chapter
newsletter "Forever in Stitches".
How to join
- Go to a local Neighborhood Group meeting, see how
much fun and education you can get for only $40.00 a year. Ask
anyone for a membership form
- Go to the ASG
"Join Now" page and sign up there
- Call or email our
Chapter President or a CAB
member. You will get a membership form in the mail.
